Piply Hardware Terms

1. Introduction
These Hardware Terms govern the purchase, ownership, and use of hardware products sold by Piply LLC ("Piply," "we," "our," or "us"). By purchasing hardware from Piply, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Hardware Terms. These Hardware Terms should be read together with our Merchant Terms of Service, Return & Refund Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, and any other applicable agreements governing your relationship with Piply.
2. Scope
These Hardware Terms apply to all hardware, accessories, peripherals, and related equipment sold by Piply, including but not limited to:
● Payment terminals
● Card readers
● Point-of-sale hardware
● Receipt printers
● Barcode scanners
● Cash drawers
● Customer-facing displays
● Mounts, cables, and accessories
● Other equipment sold by Piply
Certain products may also be subject to manufacturer warranties or additional written agreements.
3. Ownership
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all hardware purchased from Piply is sold directly to the customer. Ownership transfers to the customer upon completion of the sale, subject to applicable law. Piply does not lease, rent, or loan hardware unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
4. Hardware Selection
Piply may recommend hardware based on information provided by the customer regarding their business operations, software requirements, transaction volume, workflow, and other disclosed needs. Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate information during the purchasing process. Piply is not responsible for compatibility issues resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or omitted information provided by the customer. If Piply specifically recommends or quotes hardware that is materially incompatible with the customer's disclosed business requirements due solely to an error by Piply, available remedies will be determined in accordance with Piply's Return & Refund Policy.
5. Installation & Use
Customers are responsible for:
● Proper installation of purchased hardware.
● Providing suitable electrical power and internet connectivity.
● Maintaining an appropriate operating environment.
● Following manufacturer instructions.
● Using hardware only for its intended purpose.
Piply may provide installation assistance, setup guidance, or technical support where applicable, but customers remain responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of their equipment.
6. Care of Hardware
Customers are responsible for protecting purchased hardware from damage resulting from:
● Misuse.
● Abuse.
● Neglect.
● Unauthorized repairs or modifications.
● Improper installation.
● Accidents.
● Environmental hazards.
● Failure to follow manufacturer recommendations. Damage resulting from these circumstances is not covered by Piply.
7. Manufacturer Warranties
Certain hardware products may include warranties provided directly by the manufacturer. Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, Piply does not provide any warranty beyond those required by applicable law or offered by the manufacturer. Where reasonably appropriate, Piply may assist customers in contacting manufacturers or facilitating warranty claims, but Piply does not guarantee the outcome of any manufacturer warranty process.
8. Software & Firmware Updates
Certain hardware products may require software, firmware, or security updates to maintain compatibility, functionality, or security. Customers are responsible for installing updates when required, unless Piply has separately agreed in writing to manage or maintain the hardware. Piply is not responsible for issues resulting from outdated software, firmware, unsupported configurations, or customer modifications.
9. Limitation of Responsibility
While Piply strives to recommend quality hardware and provide reliable support, Piply does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every software platform, network environment, or third-party service.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Piply is not responsible for:
● Business interruption.
● Lost profits.
● Lost revenue.
● Lost data.
● Lost business opportunities.
● Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the purchase or use of hardware.
10. Returns & Replacements
Returns, exchanges, repairs, replacements, and refunds for hardware are governed by Piply's Return & Refund Policy. Shipping-related issues are governed by Piply's Shipping & Delivery Policy. Customers should review those policies before requesting a return or replacement.
11. Changes to These Hardware Terms
Piply may update these Hardware Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our products, business practices, technology, or legal requirements. Updated versions become effective upon publication unless otherwise stated.
